Skill Development Center in SBMA (Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority) was opened on Jan. 8, 2007. The center has cultivated about 15,000 trainees through the end of 2008. The trainees are posted on Subic Shipyard immediately after completing the training and directly engaged in shipbuilding work. At present, about 100 instructors including Korean managers, local staff and trainers teach techniques to the trainees to cultivate the best engineers.
